The Capitals lost their first game at home in 19 consecutive games 5-4, during a shoot out with the Fond du Lac Bears on January 7th.  And what a great game it was. The home crowd was lively and even had a few Fondy fans in attendance. "I guess if we are going to break that win streak this isn't a bad way to do it" proclaimed head coach Warren Sundt.  "It was a good game against a good team and we saw that all the fans were having a lot of fun at the game."

The Capitals have picked themselves back up and continue to win on the road. With road games against the Madison Blues and the West Bend Bombers in consecutive weeks. We are just about mid-way through the season and there is plenty of fast paced action left. Capitals are in sole possession of first place with having played 12 games with 10 wins, 1 loss and 1 overtime loss, giving them 21 points in the GLHL 2011-12 season.

This weekend, the Capitals face off against the Green Bay Deacons for the first time this season.  The Deacons are also off to a great start with a record of 5-1-0 so far in 2011-2012.  Puck drops at 8:00pm this Saturday January 28th at the Glacier Ice Arena in Vernon Hills.  Saturday's game is sponsored by Fatman Bowl in Lake Bluff, IL.
