The Portage Lake Pioneers moved within one win of the GLHL regular season championship.

Friday, March 8
Portage Lake Pioneers 6, Eagle River Falcons 2
Aaron Petrulis stopped 28 of the 30 shots he faced in net to help the league-leading Pioneers to a 6-2 victory over the Falcons. The Pioneers scored three times in the game's opening 8:20 on goals by Matthew Halonen, Austin Mikesch, and Anthony Harris. Todd Koritzinsky got the Falcons on the board late in the first. Koritzinsky would score the Falcons only other goal in the second period, but the Pioneers kept slowly pulling away, scoring two in the second and adding one more in the third.

Calumet Wolverines 6, Fox Cities Ice Dogs 5
Trialling 3-1 entering the third period, the Wolverines scored four straight in the games final period and would later add an empty net goal to defeat the Ice Dogs 6-5. Matt Yeo and Sherman Mowery would each finish with three-point nights for the Wolverines, with Yeo scoring twice in the third. For the Ice Dogs, Alec Elkin factored in every goal scored, finishing with the hat-trick and two helpers despite the loss. Drew Chaney made 41 saves for Fox Cities in the loss, Bruce Parisot made 26 saves in the win for Calumet.

Eagle River Falcons 5, Calumet Wolverines 3
Alex Hauswirth scored on the power play with 6:36 remaining to tie things up, and Todd Koritzinsky scored the go-ahead goal just 1:11 later to help give the Falcons a 5-3 win over Calumet. The Falcons would seal the game away with an empty-netter by Alex Racino. The Falcons scored the game's first two goals in the first period, but Calumet would answer back with a goal in the first, scoring the only goal of the second, and the first goal of the third to take a 3-2 lead before Hauswirth's tying tally.

Portage Lake Pioneers 6, Fox Cities Ice Dogs 3
The Pioneers peppered the Ice Dogs net all night long, out shooting the Ice Dogs 56-16 in their 6-3 victory Saturday. Dawson McKay had a hat-trick for the Pioneers, while Alec Elkin also had a hat-trick for the Ice Dogs. With the win, the Pioneers now move within one win of winning the GLHL regular season title.
