The 2024 GLHL Tournament Starts Friday

After another exciting season in the Great Lakes Hockey League, the year comes to a finish with the Great Lakes Hockey League Tournament.

The tournament will be held April 5-7 in Fond du Lac at Blue Line Family Ice Center. The tournament is presented by Tav on the Ave, just a slapshot away from the rink. 

This year's tournament features a modified double-elimination format, with all team's guaranteed two games and a maximum of five over the course of three days. 

The eight league teams are divided into two pools.

Pool A: #1 Portage Lake Pioneers, #4 Eagle River Falcons, #5 Calumet Wolverines, #8 Marquette Mutineers

Pool B: #2 Fond du Lac Bears, #3 Mosinee Papermakers, #6 De Pere Deacons, #7 Fox Cities Ice Dogs

If a team wins its first two games, they will automatically advance to the tournament's semi-final round. If a team looses its first game, it can still advance to the semi-finals by winning its next two games. 

With Blue Line Family Ice Center housing two sheets of ice, two games will typically occur at the same time until the later rounds of the tournament.
