The Portage Lake Pioneers cruised to a decisive 13-5 victory over the Sun Prairie Killer Bees on Friday night at Sun Prairie Ice Arena. Both teams came out firing in a fast-paced first period, with the Pioneers edging a 4-3 lead thanks to two goals from Wyatt Geshel. The Papermakers outshot the Ice Dogs 54-44, but Chaney’s 52-save performance outshined Mosinee’s Austin Jensen, who stopped 45 of 49 shots in a hard-fought loss.
