Six teams picked up victories as the season nears an end.

Friday, March 7
Calumet Wolverines 9, Fox Cities Ice Dogs 7

Calumet staged an impressive comeback to edge out Fox Cities in a high-scoring battle at the Calumet Colosseum. The Ice Dogs came out firing in the first period, scoring five times, including two goals from Alec Elkin and two from Nick Laird, to take a 5-3 lead after 20 minutes. The Wolverines kept pace with goals from Dylan Boberg, Seth Coppo, and Matt Yeo to stay within striking distance. The second period saw the teams trade goals, with Elkin completing a hat trick for Fox Cities while Boberg and Gabe Coppo answered for Calumet. Trailing by two heading into the third, the Wolverines stormed back with four unanswered goals, including Boberg’s third of the night on the power play and an empty-netter from Logan Rastello to seal the win. Elkin finished with four goals and two assists for Fox Cities, while Boberg led Calumet with a five-point night. Wolverines goaltender Matthew Ryynanen settled in after the first period, stopping 28 of 35 shots, while Mitch Kroll made 36 saves on 44 shots for Fox Cities.

Dane County Dairy Kings 5, M&M Shamrocks 2
Dane County controlled the pace early and never looked back in their win over M&M at Verona Ice Arena. Alex Koritzinsky opened the scoring midway through the first period, and Adrien Kreitlow added another to give the Dairy Kings a 2-0 lead after one. Roger Schoenike extended the lead with a short-handed goal in the second before Danny Sullivan and Dallas McLaughlin answered for the Shamrocks to keep it close. Kreitlow’s second goal late in the period restored a two-goal cushion. Airn BonDurant sealed the game with a power-play goal early in the third as Trevor Macey and Ethan Nappier combined for 50 saves in net for Dane County. Adam Lindeman faced heavy pressure for M&M, stopping 67 of 71 shots in the loss.

Eagle River Falcons 20 @ Sun Prairie Killer Bees 0
Eagle River put together a dominant performance on both ends of the ice, controlling possession from start to finish. Todd Koritzinsky led the Falcons' offense with five goals, while Travis Rayala added four of his own. Alex Racino and Zach Maillette each chipped in with multiple goals and assists. Luke Lamb stopped all 26 shots he faced to secure the shutout win.

Portage Lake Pioneers 12, Fox Cities Ice Dogs 4

Portage Lake erupted in the second period, scoring six goals to break open a close game. Alec Broetzman and Spencer Donnelly each recorded hat tricks to pace the Pioneers' offense, while Austin Mikesch and Wyatt Geshel each scored twice. Fox Cities started strong with two early goals from Nick Janssen and Matt LaBarge, but struggled to keep pace as Portage Lake pulled away. Aaron Petrulis made 16 saves for the win, while Mitch Kroll faced 34 shots in the loss.

Eagle River Falcons 7, Dane County Dairy Kings 3
Eagle River jumped out early with four first-period goals and held off Dane County the rest of the way. Lucas Otto scored twice in the opening period, while Todd Koritzinsky also added two goals and an assist to lead the Falcons’ offense. Roger Schoenike netted two goals for the Dairy Kings, including one in the first period to keep it close early. Eagle River’s Richard Yeshe stopped 36 of 39 shots in net, while Max LeClaire made 54 saves for Dane County.

Mosinee Papermakers 10, Calumet Wolverines 3
Mosinee erupted for five third-period goals to pull away from Calumet after a competitive first period. Nicholas D'Avolio and James Jernberg each scored twice for the Papermakers, with Jernberg adding a pair of goals in the third to help seal the win. Jason McAloon contributed a goal and three assists, while Greg Hanson tallied three assists. Calumet got all three of its goals in the first period, including a goal and an assist from Logan Rastello. Mosinee’s Ian Caroll made 22 saves in the win, while Bruce Parisot stopped 59 shots for Calumet.

M&M Shamrocks 7, Sun Prairie Killer Bees 4
Dallas McLaughlin recorded a hat trick and added an assist to lead the Shamrocks past the Killer Bees in Sun Prairie. The Shamrocks jumped out early with three first-period goals, including one from McLaughlin and another from Tim L'Huillier, who finished with two goals and an assist. Sun Prairie battled back with two goals in the second, including one from Mike Chavez, who had a four-point night with two goals and two assists. The Shamrocks pulled away in the third with three more goals, including McLaughlin’s third of the night. Matt Zapp made 32 saves for the Shamrocks, while Davis Nunnally stopped 38 shots for Sun Prairie.
