Milwaukee Approved as Expansion Franchise
The GLHL will welcome a new member for the upcoming season, as the Milwaukee Timberwolves have been officially approved as an expansion team. The addition brings the league back to 10 teams, strengthening the league’s footprint across Wisconsin. The Timberwolves will call the Ponds of Brookfield home as they begin their inaugural season.
Regular Season Format Adjusted
The league will shift back to an 18-game regular season schedule, with a streamlined format that emphasizes balance across all teams. Each team will face every opponent twice-once at home and once on the road. In addition, the GLHL will move away from divisions for the upcoming season.
De Pere to Host 2027 GLHL Tournament
The De Pere Deacons will play host to the 2027 GLHL Tournament. Scheduled for April 1-4, 2027, the tournament will feature the top eight teams from the regular season competing for the Kohlman Cup.
New Website Launch Coming
A new website will be coming inthe new few months. League officials are actively working on it and will announce its launch on social media in the near future.
