The West Bend Bombers defeated Fond du Lac 7-1 Friday night to earn their second straight Great Lakes Hockey League regular-season championship.

The Bombers finish the regular season with a 16-4-0 record. The record is identical to Portage Lake, but the Bombers own the tiebreaker with a lead in the head-to-head goal differential.

In other action over the weekend, the Portage Lake Pioneers swept the Calumet Wolverines to keep possession of the historic Gibson Cup.

Fox Cities 4, De Pere 1
The Fox Cities Ice Dogs scored three third-period goals to pull away from De Pere Friday night. The loss clinched a ninth-place finish for De Pere. Nick Laird paced the Ice Dogs with two goals.

Mosinee 9, Fox Cities 3
The Mosinee Papermakers clinched the No. 3 seed in next weekend's GLHL tournament in convincing fashion, including a five-goal outburst in the first period. Eric Vehlow's two goals and one assist pushed him to first place in the GLHL scoring leader's race.

Fond du Lac 10, Monroe 2
The Fond du Lac Bears finished their season the right way with a convincing win against the league's southern-most team in the GLHL. Ryan Blick led the way for Fondy with a five-point effort.
